Two days ago he wasn't on the roster. Apparently he had something up his sleeve.
Congratulations to Jason Stetina for winning today's Bowlage Open 2 Major title from Lodi Lanes in Lodi, NJ. Stetina actually started off very mediocre, shooting games of 168 and 174 in the 5-game qualifying round. Looking like it might be an early exit, Stetina regained his composure to finish qualifying with games of 234, 223 and 248, which saw him seeded 5th headed into the Final 8 bracket.
In the quarterfinals, Stetina defeated Phil Macchietto 447 - 349 in the 2-game total wood format to move on. From there, he took down the number one seed Adam Chase 475 - 424. In the finals, he triumphed over Andrew Hall 454 - 380 to win his first ever Bowlage.com Scratch Pattern Series Tournament chip and the $1,000 first place prize.
The tournament, which had 43 total entries, was competed on the Sunset Strip and 2022 USBC Queens patterns. The Top 8 qualifiers in order were:
- Chase +136
- Will Vidulich +80
- Jason Stadtler +62
- Macchietto +52
- Stetina +47
- Jennifer Russo +44
- Hall +34
- Conrad Chapple +34
Stay tuned for the next tournament listing scheduled for October 14th at Bowlero North Brunswick.
