Congratulations to Gary Haines and Charles Ko for winning last weekend's Bowlage Columbus Day Eve 5-Game Sweeper from South Levittown Lanes. The sweeper saw a total of 35 entries, 28 handicap and 15 scratch, and paid out $550 and $400 respectively for the first place finishers.
Haines performed beautifully from start to finish, firing off games of 265, 244, 256, 241 and 267 to finish +273, which was good enough for the 26 pin win over 2nd place finisher Mike Mirabile on the scratch side. Haines actually had a chance to sweep the handicap side as well, but Charles Ko edged him by 5 pins, shooting 267, 233, 245, 245 and 248 to finish +278 (with handicap).
Rounding out the cashers on the Handicap side was Sherard King (+264), Charlie Sweat (+258), Mirabile (+257) and Sam Farber (+224). Ko finished 3rd on the scratch side as well. Congrats to all on another solid turnout.
