In July 2020, like so many other bowling centers, Stelton Lanes in Piscataway, NJ was forced to close. What was home to many avid bowlers was forced to shutter its doors because of the ongoing Covid pandemic. Circle Bowl saw an opening and took advantage.
Earlier today, the Circle Bowl Facebook page posted a video explaining that they had purchased the old Stelton Lanes and were currently in the process of reconstructing and rebuilding the place into a new, state-of-the-art center. Touting 14 lanes, new leagues, a brand new arcade, a bar area and a lot more, the video, which lasted more than a minute, quickly got hopes up for the bowling community in the NJ and surrounding areas.
While there is currently no timetable on a reopening date, in an industry which has been plagued by closures, good news seems on the horizon for the old Stelton Lanes. More to come as info is released.
