In what came across as a scaulding Facebook post aimed directly at Bowlero, the Bowl America Facebook page account called on the help of the bowling community to sign a change.org petition to discourage Bowlero from closing the center.
Bowlero purchased Bowl America and all 17 of their centers in May, 2021 as the covid pandemic hit their interests hard. Bowl America was, according to their post, under the impression that all 17 centers would remain open, but went on a tirade about the recent closure of their most profitable center Glen Burnie, located in Glen Burnie, MD.
In their post, they took exception to Bowlero being all about "the money, the profit," and questioned when the humanitarian side came into play. They continued on about how the center meant a lot to a lot of people and encouraged people to sign their change.org petition to discourage Bowlero from proceeding with the closure.
