Another New York Bowling center has closed its doors.
Green Acres Lanes, located in Central Square, NY, a few miles from Syracuse, has closed its doors for the last time. The Gardner family, who owned the center, made a post on their Facebook account earlier today saying that the center, recently sold, had shut down permanently due to the owner's retirement. The post, which can be seen below, came 6 days after a previous post cancelling their sale on all of their equipment due to overwhelming interest.
Opened in 1999, the 16-lane center made it clear in August that they would be closing as they made a post explaining they would remain closed and thanking their patrons for many years of service. And while it is unknown who they sold the property to, it is clear it will no longer be a bowling center going forward.
